Charlie Brear is one of my favourite bridal brands for stylish, modern brides and I'm so excited to share their gorgeous Spring 2019 collection, 'Day for Night' with you today. The British brand was founded in 2005 and has built up a dedicated following of cool, fashion-conscious brides looking for design-led bridalwear that really stands out from the crowd.

Like so many pioneering brands, Charlie Brear started off almost by accident when Charlie, who at the time was working as a fashion stylist was selling off some vintage wedding dresses she had sourced for a music video. She realised there was a growing market for alternative, unique bridalwear for style-conscious brides and launched her own bridalwear company, The Vintage Wedding Company, selling one-off original pieces. Charlie soon began designing her own collections, and in 2013 rebranded as Charlie Brear.

Every Charlie Brear dress is designed and hand-finished in London using fabrics sourced from specialist suppliers around the UK, and the finest French and Italian lace. Instantly recognisable by their clean, contemporary feel and fashion-led aesthetic, Charlie Brear wedding dresses are perfect for cool brides who want a stylish, modern wedding dress.

The incredible Spring 2019 collection, 'Day for Night', takes inspiration from the 1970s French film of the same name, and focuses on ultra-feminine silhouettes with flow, movement and clean lines. among the collection are minimalistic draped gowns, wrap and kimono shapes alongside sheer, intricately embroidered creations - all sharing a strikingly stylish aesthetic for women with a strong sense of self.

The collection also features the signature styling additions pieces which are a much loved feature of Charlie Brear collections and allow brides to really make their bridal look their own. 'Day for Night' effortlessly fuses the understated romance of the gowns with the flattering detail of jackets, overdresses and skirts. Embodying the cool, contemporary style that the has become synonymous with the Charlie Brear brand, the collection delivers a new dimension on bridalwear with timeless appeal.

Designed with flattering panelling, deep v-necks, and bold fluid sleeves, stand out pieces for 2019 include an exquisite embroidered chiffon panelled dress with matching top and jacket additions; spotted sheer overskirt and top; a gloriously fluid, flowing blush pink silk dress and a truly directional kimono inspired gown with matching additions. Luxurious, artisanal fabrics in a soft, romantic palette of blush pink, silver grey and metallic sit alongside traditional ivories and creams.

This gorgeous collection is a must-see for any fashion-conscious brides looking for a really stand-out bridal look. Gown prices range from £1500 - £3500 and the collection is available in the Charlie Brear London studio and across all stockists now - see stockist details below.
